Job Summary

The role involves operating and driving vehicles with a high degree of professionalism, particularly for the management level, while adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and AIB policies.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Vehicle Inspection: Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the armored vehicle is in optimal working condition.
  2. Security Protocols: Strictly adhere to security procedures and protocols during transport to mitigate risks such as theft or robbery.
  3. Vigilance and Monitoring: Remain alert to potential threats or suspicious activities during transit, promptly reporting concerns to the line manager.
  4. Communication: Maintain consistent communication with the security team, notifying the supervisor of any incidents or emergencies.
  5. Asset Handling: Safely load and unload cash and valuables, ensuring secure handling to prevent damage or loss.
  6. Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to emergencies, including vehicle breakdowns or security threats, following established protocols.
  7. Driving Duties: Operate the armored vehicle safely and efficiently, strictly adhering to traffic regulations.
  8. Maintenance Checks: Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including checking oil levels, brakes, and tire conditions.
  9. Security Equipment Handling: Utilize and maintain security equipment such as GPS tracking devices and vehicle CCTV systems.
  10. Security Training: Participate in security drills and training exercises to enhance preparedness for potential incidents.
  11. Incident Reporting: Accurately document and report any incidents or irregularities encountered during transport.
  12. Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks for each transport route and adjust plans as necessary.
  13. Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information and transactions handled during transport.
  14. Team Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with escort drivers and security personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education:

  1. Minimum of a secondary school diploma; a 12th-grade graduate is preferred.

Experience:

  1. At least two years of professional driving experience.
  2. Valid and updated driving license.

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Strong communication skills, with proficiency in Dari and Pashto.
  2. Proven driving record.
  3. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  4. Physical fitness and stamina.
  5. Thorough understanding of traffic laws.
