Job Summary

The Finance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the organization's financial integrity and efficiency. This includes handling reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and data-driven analysis. The role is essential for meeting both regulatory obligations and internal policy standards while offering strategic financial insights to aid decision-making. Collaboration with different departments is crucial, as this position manages daily financial tasks, prepares analytical reports, supports audits, and maintains accurate records.

Additionally, this role involves working with large datasets—collecting, refining, and analyzing data to detect patterns and guide decision-making. A strong grasp of data tools, excellent analytical thinking, and the ability to present insights clearly to various audiences are essential for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Generate and present financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and analyzing budget deviations.
  • Support internal and external audits; ensure adherence to financial policies and regulations.
  • Track financial performance and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Partner with other departments to improve financial processes.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, and reconciliations.
  • Aggregate and verify data from multiple locations for analysis.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and supply chain teams to provide actionable financial insights.
  • Perform trend and pattern analysis on financial and operational data.
  • Review revenue, costs, inventory, and other metrics to uncover profit or savings opportunities.
  • Create reports and dashboards showcasing sales activity, customer trends, and market demand.
  • Identify financial risks and discrepancies, and recommend corrective measures.
  • Analyze tax data to assess liabilities, apply deductions/credits, and generate management reports.
Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related area. Relevant certifications such as CPA, CMA, QuickBooks, or Odoo are advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in financial analysis, taxation, or accounting roles. Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or laboratory sectors is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with accounting systems like QuickBooks or Odoo
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and financial reporting tools
  • Tax Expertise: Solid knowledge of national tax laws and compliance practices.
  • Analytical Thinking: Capability to interpret complex data sets and offer meaningful insights.
  • Accuracy: High attention to detail in handling financial documents and tax-related reporting.
  • Communication: Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts.
  • Problem-Solving & Initiative: Ability to identify and address process inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
  • Regulatory Understanding: Knowledge of regulations specific to the healthcare or laboratory sectors is a plus.
  • Flexibility: Capable of handling multiple tasks and adjusting to evolving regulatory or business demands.

Language Requirement

Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential to effectively collaborate with internal departments and external partners.
