Job Summary

Kardan University is looking for a proactive, organized, and results-driven Academic Administrator to oversee the day-to-day academic operations of its graduate programs. This role demands strong management capabilities, familiarity with academic procedures, and the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and university departments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in facilitating smooth academic processes, ensuring compliance with policies, and enhancing the student and faculty experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the administration of academic programs in coordination with faculty, ensuring alignment with institutional policies.
  • Organize and manage new student admissions including entry tests, interviews, orientations, and class scheduling.
  • Prepare and distribute semester schedules to students and instructors in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate examinations in accordance with the academic calendar, ensuring proper procedures and documentation.
  • Monitor student fee collection processes and enforce compliance with tuition regulations.
  • Provide onboarding and orientation for new faculty on university systems (including MIS), policies, and departmental expectations.
  • Oversee academic deadlines, such as course registration, exam result uploads, and report submissions.
  • Ensure faculty complete course outlines within the semester timeframe.
  • Supervise student evaluations and ensure accurate, transparent grading and assessment processes.
  • Facilitate academic advising for students and support grievance resolution when needed.
  • Organize lecturer evaluations each semester and share feedback with program leadership.
  • Arrange faculty orientation and ensure resources are available at the beginning of each term.
  • Act as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students; respond to inquiries and maintain effective internal communication.
  • Ensure the availability and proper use of updated academic forms and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the communications office to highlight department achievements and milestones.
Job Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Civil Engineering (Ph.D. preferred)
  • At least 5 years of relevant academic or university administration experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Fluency in English and at least one national language (Dari or Pashto)
  • Minimum academic achievement of 80% in Master’s degree
  • Degree must be verified by the Ministry of Higher Education, Afghanistan
