Shining Star Educational Organization of Afghanistan (SSEOA) is a legally registered, independent, non-governmental and non-political organization, officially recognized by the Ministry of Economy under registration number 4388, dated February 18, 2018. Operating in some of the most underserved areas of Afghanistan, SSEOA focuses on education, health, and livelihood development. With a special emphasis on supporting girls and women, SSEOA strives to build brighter futures through inclusive and transformative educational programs.
Our mission is centered on creating opportunities for girls and women to access quality education and livelihood training. We believe that lasting peace and national progress can only be achieved when girls are educated and empowered. Our work extends across Afghanistan, promoting peace through education and fostering social development in remote and vulnerable communities.
SSEOA’s operations are led by a seasoned Executive Body composed of professionals with deep experience in the national and international development sectors. The strategic vision of the organization is shaped by a five-member Board of Directors with distinguished records in government and non-profit work.
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for tracking the performance and outcomes of SSEOA’s educational and livelihood initiatives. The position ensures that project activities are aligned with expected results, donor requirements are met, and accurate data informs decision-making. This role involves designing M&E systems, gathering and analyzing field data, preparing reports, and supporting program improvement through evidence-based recommendations. The M&E Officer will work closely with both the Program Manager and the central M&E team to maintain accountability, enhance program quality, and ensure impact.
