About Afghan Peace Builders Humanitarian Organization (APBHO)

Established in April 2019, the Afghan Peace Builders Humanitarian Organization (APBHO) is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit entity. Rooted in years of community engagement through its Youth Council initiative, APBHO champions the rights of vulnerable groups, particularly women and children impacted by conflict and humanitarian crises.

APBHO’s core efforts emphasize grassroots peacebuilding initiatives, including community-based conflict resolution and environmental peace strategies. The organization focuses on shifting traditional gender norms and empowering individuals with the skills needed for peaceful conflict resolution.

APBHO also undertakes sustainable development projects, including economic empowerment and emergency humanitarian assistance through food and non-food distributions. With a cross-cutting emphasis on youth and women, the organization also leads research, advocacy, and peace promotion initiatives.
